Spending a relaxing winter and enjoying the winter sun in the Algarve in an attractive Apartment Rental Algarve or flat in Carvoeiro or Portimão is comfortable, practical, and safe. The well-maintained flats are only 45 minutes drive from Faro airport You rent directly from the owner. All information before and during your stay is provided in English. There are many places of interest in both locations. Public transport is well organised and supermarkets and restaurants are never far away. And above all, the English spoken Dutch hostess Johanna is there for all your questions. You do not have to bring your own linen and (bath) towels. The maid changes them weekly. You rent direct from a private owner.
CARVOEIRO
In the fishing village of Carvoeiro, a short walk from the beach, the two flats Aurora Mar 207 and 208 are available in summer and winter, separately or together. On a central location in the village with restaurants and shops nearby, it is lovely to spend the winter here. The flats on the 2nd floor are easily accessible by elevator – apart from some 5-step stairs on the gallery – and the small complex has a communal swimming pool. The flats are fully equipped with air conditioning, WIFI, Satellite TV channels and are cleaned twice a week.
Two bedrooms, sleeps 5
There are 2 double bedrooms and with an extra folding bed, both flats can accommodate 5 people. In the kitchen, you will find all the cooking utensils. On the south-facing balcony, you can enjoy your cool drink in the warm winter sun. From your flat, it is a short walk to the Carvoeiro Boardwalk along the coast. You can walk to the lovely sandy beach in 5 minutes. Festivities such as the famous Black & White night and many live performances often take place on the village square. This is organized by the owners of B&W whisky.
Apartement Rentals Carvoeiro.
There is a beautiful wooden pathway over the rocks by the sea. Beautiful sunsets are guaranteed. The path takes you to the Algar Seco caves on the left and on the other side to the Carvoeiro beach. Here it is lovely to relax, to have a coffee or a lunch on the terraces. Several golf courses in the area make this a great location for a golf holiday. And a boat trip along the coast is a must.

PORTIMÃO/PRAIA DA ROCHA.
In Portimão, overlooking the Arade river and within walking distance of Praia de Rocha is the light and bright flat Vila Arade. Vila Arade is an ideal holiday accommodation with many facilities to make the winter for seniors as pleasant and safe as possible. You can park your car safely in the underground garage and your flat on the top (3rd) floor is accessible from the garage by lift. The well-maintained complex is easily accessible by wheelchair, walker, and small mobility scooter.

The flat has a spacious entrance hall, is level floors and barrier-free and is therefore also suitable for the elderly with mobility problems. The flat has air conditioning in both rooms that can cool but also heat the rooms, free WIFI, Satellite TV channels, 2 sunny balconies, and binoculars are available to enjoy the beautiful view. The large kitchen is equipped with all cooking utensils and also an oven and a microwave are not lacking.

If you like to cook outside, you can use the BBQ on the shared roof terrace. Besides the double bedroom with balcony, the living room has a luxurious sofa bed for 2 persons. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. And if the winter sun is warm enough you can take a dip in the communal pool in the well-kept garden. If you want to go out, there is plenty to do in Portimão and Praia da Rocha.
To do in Portimao
Visit the Portimão museum at your leisure. Stroll through the marinas, and don’t forget to eat the famous grilled sardines. Also make a trip to the fishing village Ferragudo or the picturesque Monchique. If you are a fan of Formula 1 racing then go and take a look at the race circuit Autodrome do Algarve.
