And for the avid swimmer, for whom the sea in the Portuguese winter months might be a little too chilly, there is an indoor swimming pool in Lagoa. Also, medical care is well available in this part of the Algarve. Pharmacies. And English spoken doctors are easily accessible. There is a health centre in Lagoa where you can go for doctor consultations and minor surgery. From July 30th to August 22nd, Silves will host the Silves Medieval event. The city is dressed in the colours and decorations of yesteryear. The historic centre is decked out and the medieval sounds and displays will create a unique atmosphere.
